When you dart regularly or often, the sisal of your dartboard may wear off. This is mainly because intensive throwing takes place on the same scoring surfaces, such as the triple 20. The sisal can also wear off because blunt or damaged dart points are used. To prevent the board from wearing off quickly, we recommend turning the board regularly and sharpening your darts regularly to the point where the points are well-rounded and neither too blunt nor too sharp, as darts with too sharp points may damage your dartboard.
