The general coating on darts (color/grip) and dart tips (color) is applied in a very thin layer in order to minimize weight influence as much as possible.

Coatings may deteriorate over time due to standard usage. The rate at which the coating may deteriorate depends on the amount of usage the darts are going through.

Darts in general deteriorate at a faster rate when brought into direct contact between darts during use. Dart tips may also deteriorate by hitting metallic components of your dartboard.
